This 1:50 scale boxed set contains three diecast models of Foden Commercial Vehicles released by Corgi (cat. ref. CC99185). The models represent three prototype wagons and trucks as follows:
- Foden Steam Wagon 13848 “Lady Catherine” registration RB 3525 built in 1931 and sold new to Derbyshire County Council as a 3 way tipper and based in the Matlock Depot. The wagon changed hands four times being fitted with the furniture box body it now carries in 1982. In 1993 it was sold to Peter and Elizabeth Jones in the Isle of Man and returned to the mainland for a complete rebuild by Niel and John Boughey of C & G Coachworks in 1999 who have been responsible for the subsequent maintenance.
- Foden S21 8 Wheel Tipper originally purchased by Smith & Sons (Bletchington) Ltd, suppliers of construction materials and owned by them since. Rear view mirrors are packed separately.
- Foden Alpha Houghton Parhouse “The Professional” Livestock Transporter purchased by William Armstrong (Longtown) Ltd. and owned by them since. The company has joined other UK hauliers to form Pallet Force. Rear view mirrors are packed in a separate sealed packet.
The boxed set was purchased new from the wholesaler and is new having never been previously sold. The Limited Edition history booklet was not available when sold by the wholesaler. The presentation box is in un-used condition.
