This 4mm. finescale BR (Ex.SDJR/LMS) Class 7F 2-8-0 tender locomotive number 53809 in matt finish plain black livery with early emblem is built from a whitemetal kit with brass frames and Romford wheelsets. The valve gear and rodding is fluted and there is sanding gear fitted. The model has been serviced prior to sale and is in good running order and condition. The cab has glazing and crew figures. The locomotive has lamp brackets at the front and is fitted with lamps. The front buffer beam has a scale coupling and vacuum pipe fitted. The tender has a fixed fallplate, no coal load and is fitted with a bar coupling (which is easily removable as required and replaced by a scale sprung coupling). The engine/tender coupling is made from a brass plate and is flexible. There is a prototypical photograph on page 219 of volume 4 of Essery & Jenkinson LMS Locomotives. It has a good quality box for storage/transport.
