This un-built 4mm. scale etched brass kit for a Midland Railway arc-roof 6-wheel brake third carriage was released by P C Models. The prototype carriages were built over the period 1884 to 1895. Gas mantles were introduced from 1908. From 1901 carriages were fitted with internal alarm chains as all carriages were vacuum brake fitted (MSJS carriages had Westinghouse braking as well). The kit has a sprue with coupling parts; there is a clear marked-up plastic glazing sheet for windows & droplights, and marked-up white plastic sheets for partition and seating fabrication. There are transfers but wheels and paints of choice will be required. There are whitemetal castings and brass buffer parts. The kit has the original box and building instruction booklet all in good condition. I am unable to guarantee all parts are present.
