Description
This 4mm. scale LMS D1986 12T. One Plank wagon fleet number 211821 in weathered finish was built by John Judson from the Ratio kit. The model is in good running order and condition fitted with metal-tyred spoked wheelsets, mounted in etched brass cradles, one of which is compensated. The buffers are fixed brass and one of the brass couplings is sprung (the one at the other end is fixed due to the close proximity of the compensation cradle). The prototype construction (1938) originally was hand brake, and the wagon was uprated to 13T. whilst many were equipped with vacuum brakes by BR. The wagon has a load resting on timber baulks covered by tarpaulin. Extra weight has been added to the underfloor.
