This 7mm. finescale BR Ivatt Class 2 2-6-0 tender engine number 46491 in lined brunswick green livery with late crest was scratch-built & painted by Peter Burns. The model represents one of the Darlington 1951 built locomotives which became affectionately known by their crews as “Penrith Lizzies” whilst shedded at Penrith (shedcode 12C) for service on the Lake Disrict lines. This superb locomotive has cast wheels turned by Peter Burns & is fitted with an ABC gearbox powered by a Buhler motor. The glazed cab is beautifully detailed with full backhead, seated driver & hinged cab doors. The tender has coal & excellent rivet detail. The scale couplings & buffers are sprung & the specification also includes brake gear, sanding equipment, lamp brackets, vacuum/steam heat pipework & equipment & excellent lubricator detailing & pipework. The pony truck is sprung & the valvegear is exquisite. Very good running order & condition.
