This 7mm. finescale BR(W) 28xx Class 2-8-0 tender engine number 2817 in plain black livery with early emblem was built & painted by Graham Varley from the Martin Finney kits, including working inside valvegear. The wheels are Slater’s whilst the power is collected from both engine & tender to a Canon motor mounted on an ABC gearbox. The tender leading two axles are beam compensated, as are the engine driving axles with working hornblocks. The glazed cab has fully detailed backhead & includes other cab detailing & a fallplate, whilst the tender has coal & coal board. The etched plates were supplied by Guilplates including the Wolverhampton shedplate 84A. Specification includes sprung buffers, scale couplings, brake gear & sanding equipment.
