Description
This gauge 1 Great Central Railway 56ft. Corridor First/Brake carriage fleet number 7896 in brown & cream livery was built by “Milbro” (Mills Bros.) in Sheffield. The carriage is in good running order with compensated cast 4-wheel bogies and wheelsets. The body panels and floor are built from seasoned hardwood, with the body panels interlocked. The window glazing is glass. The brass buffers are sprung. There is a three link coupling fitted at the brake end, whilst the passenger end has been fitted with a sprung “Kadee” knuckle coupling. The gangways are plastic flexible/compressible type. The interior has partitions, with seating in the compartments, the headrests of which have lace covers.
