Description
This Gauge 1 LNER (Ex.NER) 50ft. Suburban 3rd. Class carriage in matt brown livery has no transfers applied. The carriage is in good running order mounted on metal-tyred disc wheelsets. The brass bogie frames are compensated and have cast Gresley overlays. Buffers and couplings are sprung. The carriage floor is plywood and the body is aluminium with beading overlays, whilst carriage ends are castings. The roof is rolled aluminium with screwed brackets holding the ill-fitted roof in place. The glazed (plastic) interior has plywood partitions and red bench seating. Electric lighting is fitted with on/off swtch floor mounted, but the battery pack is missing. Underfloor hand painted number 4 denotes the carriage position in the set.
