Description
This Gauge 1 SR/BR(S) Class 403 Five Car All-Pullman Electric Set Fleet number 3051 released by Golden Age Models is one of only five sets produced. This is only one converted by John Riley to Battery-On-Board/Radio Control Operation utilising Revolution-DCC(5A) TR/RX Set hand controller, mounted in Car 89, with charging point located on the underside. This one previous owner set is in very little used running condition, and has been bench tested. The Set comprises: DMBPT Car 88, TPFK 279 Car “Hazel”, TPFK 282 “Doris”, TPT Car 86 and DMBPT Car 89. The set has original boxes in good condition. The upgraded Axtronics charger is also included.
The prototype set was constructed in 1933 and in SR service until 1941/1946-1947, and British Railways from 1948 through to 1972, being withdrawn on 30th. April 1972.
