This 7mm. finescale GWR “Castle” Class 4-6-0 tender engine number 5005 “Manorbier Castle” in the post 1934 livery is modelled in 1937 streamlined condition. By this time, the fairings over the cylinders, steam pipes & tender had been removed from the prototype. It has been repainted by Alan Brackenborough. Built to a very high standard with inside working motion/valvegear & pick-up from both engine & tender. The enclosed centre driving axle gearbox is shaft driven from the motor mounted in the firebox. Sprung buffers & scale couplings, excellent backhead detail, cab glazing, crew & fallplate.
