This 7mm. finescale GWR “Siphon C” milk van running number 1535 in weathered early 1930’s livery was built & painted by Peter Callon from the “Scorpio” etched brass/whitemetal kit. The prototype was built in 1906 (Lot 1125) to Dia. O.8. It survived into BR ownership until September 1956. This new model is running on “Slater’s” finescale wheelsets, one axle is compensated. The buffers supplied with the kit have been replaced with “Invertrain/NMRS” sprung ones & the scale couplings are also sprung. The kit construction method has been modified so that the body can be separated from the chassis as necessary. Sound deadening material has been fitted to the inside of the brass body. Bespoke storage box including instructions leaflet.
