Description
This 7mm. finescale LNER (Ex.GNR) “Colwick” 8T. open wagon fleet number 418975 is built from a whitemetal kit. The model is in good running order and condition with split spoked metal tyred wheelsets. The buffers and couplings are sprung. Prototypically, these wagons were built at Doncaster at the beginning of the 19th. century. The brake side levers are opposite handed with brake blocks acting on the left hand wheel both sides. The wagon has a sack and wooden box load. Prototypically, the rings on the solebars are for tying down wagon sheets or securing a load.
