This 4mm. finescale BR Ivatt Class 4MT 2-6-0 tender locomotive fleet number 43156 in fully lined early crest satin finish livery is built from a whitemetal and etched brass kit. The model has been serviced and is in running order. The locomotive has Romford finescale wheelsets throughout. The engine has brass frames with the centre axle driving the motor/gearbox, whilst the very free-running tender wheelsets are mounted in bearings in the axle-boxes. The tender has real coal, un-sprung brass hook in the buffer beam and a brass wire coupling hoop fixed back to the underside of the tender body. The engine front buffer beam has an un-sprung brass coupling hook but no coupling mounted. The vacuum pipe is missing. The tender is connected under the cab floor by a brass plate coupling (easily uncoupled). The cab has a fully detailed and extended etched brass floor, full and well-detailed backhead, but no cab glazing. There are no lamp brackets. The valve gear is well presented and there is good pipework detailing, but there is no brake-gear or sanding equipment currently fitted. Currently, there is some wear to the vertical gearbox drive. The model has a good quality storage/transporting box.
