Description
This new 7mm. scale BR(Ex.GWR) “Dukedog” 4-4-0 tender locomotive fleet number 9018 in lightly weathered black livery with early crest was built and painted by Peter Callon from the Gladiator/Javelin kit. The locomotive is in excellent running order with pick-up from all six tender wheels as well as the driving wheels. The “Slaters” wheels are fitted with “Derek Mundy” heavy duty crankpins and powered by “Slaters” GB40 motor/2 stage reduction gearbox, “Finney 7” non-working internal valve gear is fitted, along with “Roxey Mouldings” buffers, “Guilplates number plates”, “CPL” screw couplings and “ModelU” crew figures. The tender has real coal. The locomotive has a custom made wooden box for storage/transport.
9018 was shedded at Oswestry being one of the last two “Dukedogs” in service.
