Description
This 4mm. scale BR(E) Class D49/2 “Hunt Class” 4-4-0 tender locomotive fleet number 62749 “The Cottesmore” in satin finish fully lined black livery and late crest is a repainted super detailed Hornby Railways release (believed to be cat. ref. R2021 released in 1997). The work was undertaken by Graham Varley for a previous owner, and the model is in excellent little-run condition. The cab is glazed with detailed boiler backhead and hinged fallplate. The buffers are sprung and the model is fitted with screw couplings. The nameplates and smokebox plates are etched brass. There is real coal to the tender, and traction tyres are in running order. Brass wire handrails and lamp brackets are fitted, along with added detailing below the running plate. Good quality storage/transport box.
