Description
This 7mm. scale BR(W) Dia.K38 Bow End 58ft. 4.5in. Full Brake fleet number W 1174 painted in “Ocean Mails” livery was built by Ian Willets and painted by David Studley (plated and signed on underside). Prototypically, there were 6 vehicles (r/ns. 1169 – 1174) to lot 1346 allocated to this programme. The model has aluminium body and floor (ex. Westdale) and cast bogies fitted with compensated axle boxes and Slater’s disc wheelsets. The buffer beams are well detailed and include sprung buffers and screw couplings. There is good body detailing (incl. door hinges, door stops, gangways, lamp brackets, step irons and handrails).Underfloor detailing is comprehensive. This is a high quality carriage with excellent painting and finish.
