Description
This 7mm. scale GWR 57ft. Flat End Dia.D1116 Corridor (Left Handside Side Doors) Brake Third Carriage fleet number 5098 in “Shirtbutton” livery was built/painted by Kenard Models with underside plate (Model No. 401 built in 1993). The model has sprung buffers and screw couplings, good buffer hose detailing, all metal wheelsets, WAYOH bogies, well detailed carriage underfloor, original glazing to windows with inner brass handrails, well painted (veneer finished) partitions, good seating, and good exterior detailing with door hinges, brass door handles and handrails. The gangways are flexible. The carriage roof will need some attention as some of the cross roof strapping has detached on small sections on some of these straps, which may also require touch-up paintwork.
The carriage has original substantial storage/transport box with fully annotated end label. There is also a John Glaze “JAG” etched brass plaque on the carriage underside.
