Description
This 7mm. scale LNER 10T. Vacuum Braked Cattle Truck fleet number 196127 in red oxide livery is built from the Parkside Dundas kit (ref.PS106). The model represents one of the rare 10ft. wheelbase vehicles built in 1936/37. Approximately 12 of the exisiting cattle trucks were converted to this increased wheelbase and only 7 built new (cattle traffic had reduced dramatically by 1937). These trucks were fitted with through steam pipes for passenger train running.
This vehicle was buily by CRT (plated on underside) using metal tyred 3 hole disc wheelsets and with sprung buffers and 3-link couplings. The interior is well detailed and painted. The model is previously owned and is in little-used condition. C/w original kit box for storage/transport.
