Description
“O” gauge finescale LMS Re-built Patriot Class 4-6-0 tender locomotive running number 5527 “Southport” in post-war lined black livery is built from a “Gladiator” etched brass/nickel silver kit and painted by Larry Goddard (signed on underside). Slater’s correct pattern wheelsets. The locomotive is in very good little-used condition having spent it’s later period on display in a glass case. The leading pony truck is vertically sprung with lateral movement, the buffers & scale couplings are sprung, the glazed cab has a fully detailed backhead, hinged chequer-plate fall-plate, real coal to tender, and etched brass nameplates. Semi-permanent loco/tender brass coupling. The locomotive has been overhauled by John Glaze in 2022 and a Canon motor/Abc Gearbox fitted.
