Description

This “O” gauge SECR Pullman Parlour Car “Topaz” in Post 1930 umber & cream livery was scratchbuilt by Philip Preston of Guildford (etched plate on underside) but was not completed. Completion was undertaken by Peter Callon, which included sourcing & fitting missing/damaged parts and painting. Prototypically, this carriage ran with Pullman Kitchen Car “Emerald”, and so, one end coupling is a “Kadee” whilst the outer coupling is a sprung screw coupling. The glazed interior is fitted with partitions, tables, cloths, table lamps, pullman seating and curtains, and passenger figures. The bogies are WayoH fitted with metal-tyred disc wheelsets.
